Third Grade

Cregan  Mrs. Cregan

Greetings! My name is Christine Cregan and I am a classroom teacher on the Third Grade Team. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Minor in Social Work from The University of New Hampshire along with my Elementary Teaching Certificate in Grades K- 6 from The University of Rhode Island. My Masters Degree is in Elementary Education from Campbell University and I hold a North Carolina Grades K - 12 Academically Intellectually Gifted License. I thorougly enjoy teaching elementary education as I have the opportunity to instill a love for learning within students and challenge them to learn all that they can. As a facilitator of learning I am supporting and encouraging students to work towards, and reach goals they set. I stay active in my school community and building relationships is very important to me. My curiousity and ongoing learning in Science keep me active and growing as a lifelong learner. I look forward to continuing to share and add spark to my students' education so they are inspried to be all that they want to be!

Olsen Ms. Olsen

Hi there! My name is Darrylle Olsen and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Aberdeen Elementary School. I received both my Bachelor's degree and Teaching Certification from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. Teaching for me is a second career (22 years- 20 in CT and 2 here at Aberdeen) but it is so much more than that. I have always wanted to teach. To me there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone to not only understand a concept, but to then see them apply their learning in other areas, both inside and outside the classroom, and to continue to want to learn more and more- that is a gift. Being entrusted with teaching children is a wonderful privilege and one I am most grateful for.

Mrs. Oerke Mrs. Oerke

Hello my name is Judy Oerke. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in Elementary Education K-6, Middle Grades- Science (6-9). I had the privilege to attend Aberdeen Elementary as a young girl from 1st grade through ninth, and graduated from Pinecrest High School. I am now honored to be teaching third grade here at AES. My desire is as an educator to nurture each student according to their needs to help them to realize that they can do more than simply cope with all that life has to offer them and be successful. I will provide my students with a positive, solid and safe foundation based on my educational knowledge and experiences to help them in putting all the pieces of Life's puzzle together to create a masterpiece.

Mrs. Warner Mrs. Warner

Hello, I am Leigh Warner, and I am happy to be a part of the 3rd grade team here at AES. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master's of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics and Reading from Fayetteville State University. I believe all students are equipped with unique talents, allowing them a special place in this world. My goal as an educator is to help each student to realize their value and create a joy for learning that will last for life. As part of the Tiger Team, I want to share my joy of learning with every student and empower each student with the tools needed to conquer what life has to offer. It is an honor and privilege to work with the world's future.
