Mrs. Chiapperino
Hello! My name is Joanne Chiapperino and I am a member of the wonderful 5th grade team at Aberdeen Elementary School. I earned both my bachelor's and master's degree from Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. Teaching is my passion, from the time I was in kindergarten, I knew that teaching was my calling. As educator, I have the ability to reach learners from day one. It is my commitment to you that I will provide the necessary tools for success. My hope is that each child leaves my room happier each and every day with the tools, confidence, and decision making skills to pursue their life long dreams.
Ms. Naddeo
Greetings! My nameis Joan Naddeo and I am a new member of the 5th grade team. I am excited to be joining Aberdeen Eleemntary school this year. I have been an educator for over twenty years. I was born and raised in New York City and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Manhattanville College, Purchase, NY. My husband and I moved to Pennsylvania where we raised our children. I decided to go back to school to become a teacher and earned my Master of Education at Holy Family Unviversity, Philadelphia, PA. Later in my career, I earned my Administrative Certification from Cabrini University. Time and experience has taught me to appreciate each child as an individual. Time spent getting to know children is time well spent! This allows me to learn what type of learner they are, so I can best support them througout the school year. As an educator, my purpose is to provide my students with the knowledge and tools to be successful in life. I want them to be able to make their own decisions when they leave school, and they need a good education to do this! They should be able to decide if they want to pursue college, a trade school, the military, or move directly into the workforce. I hope to provide students with a strong understanding of the content I teach so they are equipped with the tools to do this! I create a community of learners in my classroom here in Aberdeen. My students and I work together to create a safe space to learn together, make mistakes together and grow. We will respect each other and support each other as we learn in our community.
