Ms. Borup- Speech Language Pathologist
Hi, my name is Morgan Borup and I am very excited for my first year working at Aberdeen Elementary School as a Speech Therapist. I received my graduate degree in Communicative Disorders with an emphasis in Speech Language and Pathology from Eastern New Mexico University. I love working with children and I am passionate about helping them achieve their speech and language goals so that they can succeed academically and socially. I hope to be a resource for students, families, and teachers. I am a military spouse with children of my own, and I know with the support from school teachers and staff we can provide our students the skills and confidence they need to be successful.
Miss Hurler- K/5 Special Education Teacher
I'm a 2017 graduate of Lock Haven University with a B.A in Disability and Communication . Originally from PA, I moved to NC where I have been an ECT Extraordinary since 2018 after working as an ABA. I currently serves as one of my school’s lead EC Facilitator and works with students on IEP goals through Resource and CoTeaching models. I'm especially passionate about working with students who have behavioral challenges in addition to academic needs.
Miss Canup- Speech Language Pathologist
Hello, my name is Samantha Canup and I am a speech therapist here at AES. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Washington State University, and my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida. I am passionate about helping children grow and advance their communication abilities to improve their overall quality of life in the academic setting. I hope to instill confidence in the students I work with to successfully communicate with their teachers and peers in the classroom. I recognize that all children’s strengths and needs are unique, and I am committed to helping each child use their distinctive qualities to their own advantage in order to flourish at school. I look forward to another wonderful year at Aberdeen Elementary!
